What is a cyber safety incursion?
A cyber safety incursion is a live session run at your school, where an external presenter takes students through what is really happening online — and what to do about it. Instead of a worksheet, students get a cyber safety presentation built from a decade of real stories, real cases and real questions from Australian classrooms.
Our cyber safety program for schools is designed to sit alongside your pastoral care and digital technologies teaching, not replace it. Each cyber safety workshop is re-written for the year level in front of us, so a Year 3 group and a Year 11 group never hear the same talk. Sessions run in person or online, as a single assembly or as a full day covering every year level, a teacher PD block and an evening parent night.

Every session is rewritten for the age group in the room — tone, examples and outcomes all change.
Primary school
Foundation – Year 2
Playful, story-led and screen-light.
Topics: Safe vs unsafe sharing, who is a trusted adult, being kind on games and apps, telling someone straight away.
Outcome: Students can name three trusted adults and know the 'stop, leave, tell' response when something online feels wrong.
Years 3 – 4
Interactive with lots of hands-up examples.
Topics: Passwords, in-game chat and friend requests, early screen habits, what a digital footprint actually is.
Outcome: Students can spot a stranger request, build a strong passphrase and explain why nothing online is truly deleted.
Years 5 – 6
Honest, funny, high school ready.
Topics: Cyberbullying and bystanders, group chats, screen addiction, first social media accounts, online reputation.
Outcome: Students leave with practical rules for group chats and a plan for their first social accounts before high school.
High school
Years 7 – 9
Story-driven, confronting where it needs to be.
Topics: Cyberbullying, catfishing and fake profiles, screen addiction, hacking and phishing demonstrations, online reputation.
Outcome: Students understand how quickly a post travels, how accounts really get hacked, and how to report and support.
Years 10 – 12
Adult, direct and future-focused.
Topics: Sexting and image-based abuse and the law, deepfakes and AI, digital footprint and employability, scams, respectful communication.
Outcome: Students know the legal consequences, how employers search them, and how to protect themselves and their mates.

How do we book a cyber safety incursion?+
Send us your preferred dates through the contact form and we'll confirm availability, session times and a fixed quote. Most schools lock in a date within a couple of days of enquiring.
How far in advance should we book?+
Jonny remains over 80% booked year to year and Term 1 and Term 4 fill first. Most schools book three to six months ahead. If your dates are tight, send three options and we can usually make one work.
Do you travel to regional and remote schools?+
Yes. We are based in Brisbane and present across Australia every term, including regional and remote schools. Regional trips work best when neighbouring schools book the same week.
Can the presentation be delivered online?+
Yes. Every session can be live-streamed to classrooms or delivered over Zoom, Teams or Google Meet with the same interactive polling and Q&A as an in-person incursion.
What year levels do you present to?+
Foundation to Year 12. Content, language and examples are re-written for each band: Foundation–2, 3–4, 5–6, 7–9 and 10–12.
How long is a session and how many students can attend?+
A standard session runs 45–60 minutes. Smaller year-level groups of 60–150 students work best, though whole-school assemblies of 400+ are common with a microphone and sound system.
How many sessions can you run in a day?+

Does the program align with the curriculum and Child Safe Standards?+
Yes. Content maps to the Health and Physical Education and Digital Technologies strands of the Australian Curriculum, and supports the National Child Safe Standards around online safety, respectful relationships and student voice.
Do you run parent nights?+
Yes. Parent nights run for around 60 minutes with time for questions, and we supply flyers and marketing material to help you promote the event.
What equipment do you need?+
A projector (all cables supplied), and a working microphone for audiences over 100 students. Sound is optional for most sessions.
Can we record the session?+
Yes, with prior notice. Jonny can also bring his own camera and microphone and send you the recording afterwards.
What does it cost?+
Pricing depends on the number of sessions, audience size and location — from roughly $6 per student for a whole-school booking. Send your dates for a fixed quote with no hidden travel surcharges on quoted metro bookings.
